MILLEDGEVILLE — Good morning. Here’s a look at what’s happening today.





Weather: 





Mostly sunny in the morning. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms early. Then a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. West winds 10 to15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. Tonight showers and thunderstorms likely in the evening. Then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows around 70. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Best bet for today:

The Baldwin County Commissioners meet today at the courthouse in Suite 319 at 5:15 p.m. for a work session and a 6 p.m. regular meeting.

The Milledgeville Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association invites all UGA alumni and fans to a Freshman Send-Off on Sunday, July 27, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the home of Jimmy (BBA ’64) and Elizabeth (EDS ’76, EDD ’86) Youngblood, 255 Corral Road in Milledgeville. Visit alumni.uga.edu/FSO to RSVP. nStudents will have the chance to meet fellow UGA classmates from the Milledgeville area and get to know local alumni and fans. Parents will learn how to stay connected to the Bulldog Nation while their child is at UGA.
