Swans Cleaners making progress to reopen

MILLEDGEVILLE —

Swans Dry Cleaners is planning to reopen its doors for business sometime in August.

Signs were installed at the new business location three weeks ago and the former Pickle Barrel building was repainted in light and dark gray shades to transform it into the new home off North Columbia Street next to Krystal’s.

The small business previously operated from the Milledgeville Mall property for 15 years.

Investment Nationwide Group, the general contractor from Duluth working on the project, is planning to have sheetrock installed by Friday in the new 3,400 square-foot space.

Plans are also in the works to remove the front patio of the old restaurant in order to create a driveway for the service area.
