GOP Congressional run-off debate in Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE — The 10th GOP Congressional District and the Baldwin County GOP will co-host a run-off debate between Mike Collins and Jody Hice at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Georgia Military College's Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts at 201 E. Greene St. will host the event.

The candidate who wins the Republican nomination July 22 will take on Athens attorney Ken Dious for Paul Broun's vacated Congressional seat.

This is the last debate before the primary runoff.

There will be a moderator with the time allotted.

Opening and closing remarks will be two minutes each.

Candidates will not be provided a list of questions prior to the debate. Questions will come from the moderator, debate committee and audience.

The audience will be allowed to ask questions the last 15 minutes.

Each candidate will have one and a half minutes to answer each question.

After both candidates have answered the question, each will have an opportunity to ask the other candidate one question relative to the original question. The candidate will have 30 seconds to respond.

Candidates will be allowed to video the debate.

No one else will be allowed to video unless approved by the debate committee prior to the event.

There are no audience signs allowed in the audience or cheering during the Wednesday event.

Doors will be open to the public one hour before the 7 p.m. debate.
