The Baldwin County Republican Party will host a 4 p.m. meet and greet for local leaders and community members today at the Brown-Stetson-Sanford house on Hancock Street. Those attending will have an opportunity to meet Congressman Phil Gingrey, who is running for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Saxby Chambliss. Chambliss is not seeking reelection.
Rep. Gingrey, M.D., represents the 11th Congressional District of Georgia.
Local party chair Danielle Fields said Gingrey is expected to visit or an hour or so.
“It's a chance for the community to meet him if they want to,” Fields said.
