MILLEDGEVILLE — Students of Georgia College Early College discussed possible consequences, state laws and various forms of bullying during a youth summit earlier this week at the Centennial Center.

‘It is a national issue. Our parents committee and I thought this would be a great method to target the social issue,’ Principal Dr. Runee Sallad said. ‘By informing [students] of how to spot bullying and the consequences, we hope students will feel obligated to report issues they see.’

With parents and faculty present, ‘Be a Buddy — Not a Bully’ included two learning sessions, featuring a presentation by Oconee RESA and the Milledgeville Police Department, followed by a pep rally and dance-off competition.
