Not having a motorcycle to ride is not a problem for this fundraiser. Hubert encourages everyone to join, no matter the mode of transport.
“We need everybody no matter what you drive. It can be a motorcycle, car, truck, a John Deere tractor, a lawnmower or a horse and buggy. What matters the most is that you come help out our friend who has helped so many others,” Hubert said.
A raffle will be held at Benton Lee’s Steakhouse and an auction will take place in Monticello following the ride. Those who are unable to join the ride can still help by making a donation at any Putnam County or Eatonton fire station, Wooten’s Barbershop or at NAPA Auto Parts in Eatonton.
“None of this would be possible without the help of the people,” said Hubert. “We may organize it but it’s the people in the community that bring it all together.”
