MILLEDGEVILLE — Good morning. Here’s a look at what’s happening today.





Weather: 





Cloudy areas of fog in the morning. Chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms in the morning then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs around 60. Northeast winds around 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent Saturday night mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the evening then a slight chance of showers after midnight. areas of fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

April is National Jazz Appreciation Month. Check out our calendar of events and our weekly entertainment guide for upcoming performances at Georgia College and GMC and soak in some smooth sounds.

Best bet for today:           

The Oconee Valley Iris Club will hold its annual spring show at the Milledgeville Mall. Entries will be accepted from 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday and judging will begin at 11. The show is free and open to the public from 1 p.m. to 4:30. Irises will be on sale at a bargain price.

Upcoming events:

How about some Bingo? Every Thursday Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. 478-452-1611.
