The Garzas are in the midst of expanding the club to the 2,700 square-foot space on the top floor of the building.
“This past Friday night we had 102 people here and Saturday night we had 119. We’ve had kids here from Macon, Warner Robins, Eatonton, Sparta and Sandersville,” Randy said. “The top floor will just be a huge dance area with a few big screen TVs and we’re trying to figure out how to bring in Xboxes. The bottom level will be a full arcade room with drinks and food and we’ll put in more games. Level two should be complete in the next 60 days.”
Located at 3010 Heritage Road, Teen Scene is open each week from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday with a $7 admission fee, and from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday for free. With Baldwin County public school system off for spring break next week, Teen Scene will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday with no admission fee and extend hours Friday for an all-night event from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. for $15 for teens staying past midnight.
“This is a wonderful place for teens to go. We’re getting them off the streets and we want to keep them entertained. During the summer we will be open from [noon] to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday,” Randy said. “Our goal is that once we expand upstairs, the bottom level will be open everyday of the week and the upstairs dance floor will open for Friday and Saturday nights. We’re very quickly progressing to exactly where we want to be.”
