MILLEDGEVILLE — A suspect is in custody in connection to a bomb threat that was called in to the local Walmart Tuesday afternoon. According to local authorities, the suspect is en route to the Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center.

The local Walmart shopping center on North Columbia Street was closed earlier in the day as law enforcement secured the perimeter at the store. An employee, who wished not be identified, told The Union-Recorder that all customers and employees were instructed over the store intercom to exit the store. The employee said the announcement was made around 2:30 p.m. Both entrances to the store are blocked off.

At around 4 p.m. employees and customers were allowed to re-enter the store, the employee said.
