Employees stocking the shelves for area families

MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin County Board of Education’s Employee Transportation Activity Committee (ETAC) is collecting canned and boxed goods, toys and monetary donations through Friday, Dec. 14 in time for its Thanksgiving food drive and fourth annual Christmas drive.

ETAC members hope to surprise 25 local needy families Tuesday with a box full of Thanksgiving Day trimmings.

ETAC Transportation Specialist Sheba Nelson organized a bookshelf of donated goods Wednesday, but hopes to solicit more donations by next week.

Located on South ABC Drive off the U.S. Highway 441 bypass, items can be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information about donating funds, food items or toys, call (478) 696-9512.
