Man shot, body found on Treanor Drive

Law enforcement officials are investigating the cause of death of a man whose body was discovered early this morning in Baldwin County. 

According to Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department officials, the body of a shooting victim was found around 7:15 a.m. near a Treanor Drive residence. 

Baldwin County Coroner John Gonzalez said that the victim was a black male in his late 30s who died from two apparent gunshot wounds to the chest. 

According to the sheriff's department, fingerprints have identified the man as an individual from Covington, though his name has not yet been released. 

The scene is being investigated as a secondary crime scene.
