The Veterans Day program will conclude with a lunch at the Birdsong Recreation Center for all participants and the community.
“Last year we served around 500, and this year we’re planning for around 800,” Blackwell said. “These veterans are honored everyday at the [GWVH]. This program is special for them because the community and different organizations in the community come to honor them as well.”
