Deep Roots celebrates 10 years

MILLEDGEVILLE — The rains held off Saturday as thousands turned out for the 10th annual Deep Roots Festival in downtown Milledgeville.

Attendees indulged in a day of music, arts and crafts, food, fun and games.

The day’s events kicked off with the second annual Deep Roots Charity Ride sponsored by the Milledgeville Bicycle Club. The day also included the Old Capital Car Club car show, magic, dance and music on the Community Stage and the KidZone.

Music Mainstage performers included Milledgeville’s The Greenway, Wet Willie with Jimmy Hall, Rock U AllStars and Shovels & Rope. Headliner Allen Stone closed out the festival late Saturday night.
