Greenway Farmers Market to celebrate grand opening

The Greenway Farmers Market is slated to celebrate its grand opening Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Oconee River Greenway. 

Area farmers and producers will be on site to provide sustainably-grown spring vegetables, herbs, meats, dairy products, breads, baked goods, potted plants and more.

A ribbon cutting ceremony and reading of a proclamation by Milledgeville Mayor Richard Bentley is scheduled at 10 a.m. followed by a performance by the Old Capitol Cloggers at 10:30 a.m. Kids Korner activities and games will also be available throughout the market.

The Greenway Farmers Market will continue every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
