Creative Expressions art benefit, concert slated this week

(Continued)

MILLEDGEVILLE —

“Our goal is to encourage community members to do some of their Christmas shopping with us. We are able to offer more unique gifts compared to retail stores. We have a lot of Christmas decor like wreaths and handmade ornaments,” Whipple said. “Proceeds from art sales benefit the individual artist and the arts program here.”

Located at 1131 N. Jefferson St., Creative Expressions is an initiative of the Life Enrichment Center of Baldwin County, a nonprofit organization focused on improving the quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the past decade, the program has promoted creativity and self-expression through music therapy, performing and visual arts. It is their mission to provide artists with disabilities the chance to dream, create and share their talents with their local community and beyond.
