MILLEDGEVILLE —

Creekside Elementary School kindergartners, teachers and parents enjoyed hunting for Easter eggs, hula-hooping, playing outdoor games, meeting Thunder the Bobcat and local firefighters and law enforcement officials on Good Friday on the Georgia College front campus.

Other Creekside students also visited the home of Flannery O’Connor to meet the Easter Bunny and play games.

The 20th annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Z97 FM will take place Saturday with a 1 p.m. egg hunt at the Central State Hospital Pecan Grove. A farmers market and April Fool’s Ride will kick off at 8 a.m. followed by an Easter Bunny meet and greet, food, activities and vendors at noon.

More than 10,000 prizes, cash and prize eggs will be up for grabs as well as a bicycle from The Union-Recorder.
