MILLEDGEVILLE — Good morning. Here’s a look at what’s happening today.





Weather: 





Cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. HighsIn the mid-70s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent Saturday night mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph Sunday sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Sunday night lear. Lows in the upper 30s. Light and variable winds. Monday sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Monday night. Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s.





Best bets for today: 





A yard sale to benefit the First United Methodist Church Relay for Life team will be held March 29 from 8 a.m. to noon at the church’s lake pavilion on Bill Johnson Road. All proceeds benefit the team.

Sunday

Due to inclement weather, the first annual Arts at the Grove Festival and the eight annual April Fools Bike Ride have moved to Sunday.

The arts festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central State Hospital Pecan Grove. Registration for the ride also located at the grove begins at 8 a.m. with the event starting at 9 a.m.

The Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra will present its final concert of the season, ‘Drum Roll, Please!’, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Russell Auditorium.



Monday

The Central State Hospital Relay for Life team will hold a jewelry and accessories sale at the CSH Auditorium March 31 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and April 1 from 7 a.m.-5p.m.

 

Upcoming events

The Baldwin County Special Olympics will be held April 9 at the BHS field at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with the events, including: huggers, timers, escorts, cheerers or spectators. If you would like to volunteer contact Shannon New-Diaz at 478-445-2509 or sanew@dhr.state.ga.us.
