More suspects sought after Friday assault

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville Police Department is still looking for other male suspects connected to a weekend assault on South Warren Street.

A female allegedly attacked by Andrew Montez Brown, her neighbor, and several others was left badly beaten and transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Brown has been charged with aggravated assault pending notification of the victim's injuries, which could upgrade the charge to aggravated battery.

According to the report, officer Charles Veazy responded to South Warren Street Friday, in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. Brown, the resident, stated noticing several items missing after returning home.

Brown stated he found a window inside the back bedroom open. He accused his neighbors of being the perpetrators' of the crime.

Prior to contacting law enforcement, Brown found several DVDs near his neighbor's house. Veazy collected several items for processing evidence.

Brown was told to stay away from his neighbor's residence, and let the police do its job to find the suspect, according to the report.

Later in the evening, the female neighbor went over to speak with Brown about the burglary accusation. At some point, Brown and several other men allegedly attacked her.

MPD Det. Kim Khan was notified to follow up on the investigation. Khan arrived and interviewed the suspect in custody.

Brown allegedly admitted to striking the victim several times after she pushed him. Call the police tip line at (478) 414-4413 with any information about the other suspects.
