MILLEDGEVILLE — Donations come in all shapes and sizes, but the one from C.C. and David Sinclair, residents of Milledgeville, is one that is truly unforgettable. The Sinclairs are in the process of setting up an online raffle of a Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle with a Voyager adaptable Trike Conversion Kit. The proceeds of the raffle will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Baldwin and Jones County.
The Harley has approximately 30 miles on the odometer and is valued at $28,000.
“Our goal is to raise at least $25,000 for the Boys & Girls Club,” said David Sinclair.
Giving back to the community has always been a part of the Sinclairs’ lives. The original purchase of the Harley was from another charitable event that they participated in.
“I purchased the motorcycle at a Las Vegas convention charity auction as a fundraiser for an orphanage,” said Sinclair.
The couple decided that the motorcycle was far more than what they needed in their already vast collection of bikes.
“My wife and I already have so many motorcycles, one that dates back to 1965, so it was no big deal to donate it to the Boys & Girls to help them raise funds,” he said.
Digital Bridges will assist in the raffle by creating a website where raffle tickets will be made available for purchase. The goal is to get the site up and running by early March.
The Harley Davidson motorcycle raffle is one of many generous acts of giving from C.C. and David Sinclair.
“It’s good to give back to the community you’re a part of, and we always try to help different clubs and organizations with whatever we can do,” Sinclair said.
The Sinclairs, along with Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Paul Bernard, will continue to keep the community posted on the progress of the raffle.
