MILLEDGEVILLE — Dr. Bob Poole, director of Supporting Christian Education of Central Georgia, Inc. and owner of Sonrise Corner Thrift Store presented Sinclair Christian Academy (SCA) Headmaster Warren L. Gilpin with a $1,000 check Wednesday.

SCA received the gift for assisting the goal of filling a 53-foot trailer with clothes and other items over the last three months. The trailer is over half full but more clothes, shoes and purses are needed.

Sonrise Corner's mission is raising money to support Christian education. One hundred percent of every dollar goes to help a Christian school or an individual needing special assistance toward attending one.

Pastor at Westview Baptist Church and SCA School Board member Jody Branch said thrift donations at Sonrise offers a 'win-win' for Christian education.

"To have a thrift store that supports that is good stuff," Branch said.
