Have a Heart bake sale this weekend

MILLEDGEVILLE — Have a Heart, Save a Life Inc. will host a meet and greet bake sale Saturday inside Tractor Supply from noon to 2 p.m.

The purpose of the meet and greet bake sale is to celebrate the miracle rescue of the beloved dog Danny Boy. The event will give everyone who has supported his progress and viewed his updates online a chance to meet him in person while also supporting a great cause.

Danny Boy is the epitome of a true rescue story.

After living in the streets for more than three years, covered in multitudes of fleas and ticks, suffering horrible mange, starving and scared, Danny Boy was rescued by volunteers in early May.

He has made a tremendous recovery. Danny Boy is well enough to make his first official appearance back into the real world and meet those who helped save his life.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and accepted Saturday. If anyone would like to donate baked goods for the bake sale contact Olivia Backs at olivia.backs@bobcats.gcsu.edu or 706-410-7914 or feel free to just come by and drop some off.

For questions about HAHSAL contact Valerie Buckley at vbuckley@wildblue.net or 478-232-8155. Also, the organization now has an official website (Hahsal.org) where people can see what’s going on with HAHSAL and donate, as well as see adoptable cats and dogs.
