MILLEDGEVILLE — The 2013 property tax bills were mailed Friday, according to the Baldwin County Tax Commissioner’s office.

Citizens should see their bill by Monday or Tuesday.

Tax Commissioner Cathy Settle advises property owners to wait seven to 10 days before calling if a bill isn’t received.

The payment deadline is Nov. 15. Call 478-445-4813 with any property tax related questions.

Baldwin County commissioners approved a revenue neutral 8.84-millage rate on Sept. 3.

This .06 increase equates to a negligible 50-cent net tax increase per $100,000 for property owners with unchanged assessments.

The current 2013 county budget projected $40,000 short without this rate nudge.

The Baldwin County Board of Education will maintained its 17.06 millage rate submitted with the adjusted county rate.
