On Thursday, Aug. 29 at approximately 7 a.m. two individuals were arrested for possession of cocaine and a firearm at Twin Oaks Trailer Park on Ivey Dr. According to Commander Wesley Nunn of the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force, operatives had been watching the location for quite some time.

"After noticing the high level of traffic at the premises, we obtained a search warrant and entered the residence," said Nunn.

Upon entering the residence, a male was seen running out the back door. Two other individuals, a male and female, were also present in the trailer.

"After running about half a mile from the park, the subject was apprehended and brought back to the scene," said Nunn.

The subject who attempted to elude police was later identified as 30-year-old Rashman S. White, also known as 'Flame'.

"Upon entering the home we found a large quantity of crack cocaine and a semi automatic handgun," said Nunn.

The task force also discovered two surveillance cameras set up on the property as well.

"The cameras were set up in a way that anyone in the residence could see who was coming in and out of the driveway," he said.

The male, later identified as 25-year-old Cotey M. Carswell and the female who were found in the residence were questioned and arrested. After further investigation, the female was later released.

"The cocaine that was found in the residence totaled almost half an ounce," said Nunn. "We also seized a collection of scales along with the cocaine."

Carswell and White were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm. White received an additional charge of obstruction of an officer for fleeing the scene.

"All in all it was a good bust and some of the residents in the trailer park thanked us for shutting the operation down," said Nunn. "We thank the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office in helping us make this bust a successful one."

The Ocmulgee Drug Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force that works alongside law enforcement agencies to prevent, detect, investigate and prosecute drug related crimes.
