MILLEDGEVILLE — Property tax bills are due Friday.

Baldwin County Tax Commissioner Cathy Settle said normal office hours are extended from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until close on Friday.

The office will accept payments postmarked by the final date.

Visa and MasterCard are accepted in the tax office with a small convenience fee.

Residents can also visit to handle payment through Visa, MasterCard, Discover or PayPal.

Settle said certain windows are dedicated to property taxes.

“If you are visiting our office to pay taxes, we have several property tax-only windows. We hope this will speed up the process,” Settle said.

After the due date, there is a 1 percent interest fee per month and 90 days after the due date a 10 percent penalty is added. Real property includes tax on land and improvements. Personal property refers to tax on furniture, fixtures, tools, inventory and equipment used in the operation of a business.

Call the tax commissioner's office at 478-445-4813 with any questions.
