Large plant, yard sale benefits Reindeer Flight School

Richard and Sandra Phillips’ fourth annual large plant and yard sale features thousands of plants to benefit the electric fund of the well-known Reindeer Flight School held at their residence during the Christmas season.

Visitors will be able to browse through and purchase among the vast selection, including fruit trees, vegetable plants, cacti, roses, vines, ferns, bushes, grasses, antique chairs with flower arrangements, hanging baskets, homemade jellies and preserves, home decor and books.

‘We have some house plants but our concentration is on outside evergreens that are reasonably priced,’ Sandra said Tuesday while preparing for the sale. ‘The plants we have here are good for gardeners to start with less expensive plants.’

A prize will also be available to the individual that brings the most pots to be reused in future plant sales.

‘We thank everyone who has supported the Reindeer Flight School,’ Sandra said. ‘It means so much to families and it has become a tradition for some of them.’

Located at 101 Sportsman Circle NE, the sale kicks off at 7 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
