GBI offering reward in GC bomb threat investigation

Investigators are offering reward money for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the bomb threat that evacuated Georgia College campuses Thursday, Nov. 1.

Georgia College’s Department of Public Safety is the lead investigatory agency. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and FBI are assisting with the investigation.

The GBI has offered a $500 reward for information about the incident, according to Director of Public Safety Scott Beckner.

The agencies are currently following leads and conducting interviews as part of this open investigation. Working with Baldwin County 911 dispatch, investigators also are reviewing phone records.
