Baldwin Republicans meeting Thursday

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Baldwin County Republican Party is hosting its first yearly meeting Thursday at The Cottages Clubhouse located on 1010 Fernwood Drive.

The meet and greet begins at 6 p.m.

State Representative Jay Neal from Lafayette is the special guest.

Neal serves as the House State Properties Committee chairman. He is also the North Campus director for Penfield Christian Homes.

Penfield is a nonprofit organization, which has been operating for the past 30 years carrying out its mission to “Reclaim Alcohol and Drug Addicted Men Through Christ and Christian Love.”

Local party chair Danielle Fields said Neal will discuss both endeavors Thursday.

“He’s going to talk about state properties and how that is going to affect Central State Hospital,” she said.

State Republican Party Grassroots Director Brian Barrett will represent the GOP at Thursday night’s meeting.

Call Fields at 478-451-9992 for more information.
