Someone reported that a male in a white GMC Yukon pumped $20 of gas at a N. Jefferson Street gas station Monday without paying, a police report states. According to the report, the man returned later in the day to pay for the gas.

— Entering auto

Someone reported that an unknown person entered a vehicle parked at a N. Wayne Street residence, a police report states. A pocketbook containing several forms of identification was reported missing.

— Criminal trespass

Someone reported a burglary Tuesday at a N. Elbert Street home, a police report states. According to the report, the officer noticed the offender attempting to climb out of the bathroom window and the offender was arrested at the scene and charged with criminal trespass.

— Counterfeiting

Someone reported that a counterfeit $50 bill was found during a change count at a N. Columbia Street bank Tuesday, a police report states.

— Theft by taking

Someone reported that a cell phone, left on the counter at an E. Hancock Street convenience store Tuesday, was gone or taken when the owner returned, a police report states.

— Burglary

Someone reported a burglary Tuesday at a Magnolia Avenue residence after noticing items out of place upon return home, a police report states. According to the report, the burglar gained entry into the residence by prying off the hinge of a patio door and unlocking the main door through a missing glass window pane. Nothing was reported missing.
