Saturday, Sept. 27

7:30 p.m.: GIWA Pro Wrestling will hold an event at Georgia College & State University’s Centennial Center. Tickets are $7. For more information visit www.giawasuperstars.com

9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Parenting With Purpose, a free parenting workshop sponsored by the Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Program and Family Connections of Baldwin County, will be held at the GCSU Arts & Science building. Learn practical ways to parent successfully, effective ways to relate with youth, and gain free materials and resources that can be shared with family and friends. Lunch will be provided, door prizes will be awarded, and networking with other parents is strongly encouraged. Pre-register for this free event by calling (478) 457-7377.

Sunday, Sept. 28

3 p.m.: The Wilkinson County High School auditorium will be dedicated in honor of Mr. George Holliman. There will be a program and reception following. The community is invited to attend.

Monday, Sept. 29

Noon to 4 p.m.: Harriet’s Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open in Room 413 of Oconee Regional Medical Center. A free Mary Kay consultation is available for cancer patients during Closet hours by appointment only. Carol Griffin (478) 453-0295.

6 p.m.: “The Mourning After” a bereavement group sponsored by Hospice Care Options and the GCSU Psychology Department is held in room 1-15 in the GCSU Arts and Sciences Building. The event is free and open to the public. (478) 453-8572

6 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets in the parking lot behind Oconee Outfitters for its weekly road ride. Beginner pace for first hour, moderate pace later.

7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. (478) 452-8538

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center. Round dancing begins at 6:30 p.m.
