9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Parenting With Purpose, a free parenting workshop sponsored by the Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Program and Family Connections of Baldwin County, will be held at the GCSU Arts & Science building. Learn practical ways to parent successfully, effective ways to relate with youth, and gain free materials and resources that can be shared with family and friends. 3 p.m.: The Wilkinson County High School auditorium will be dedicated in honor of Mr. George Holliman. There will be a program and reception following. The community is invited to attend.

Monday, Sept. 29

6 p.m.: “The Mourning After” a bereavement group sponsored by Hospice Care Options and the GCSU Psychology Department is held in room 1-15 in the GCSU Arts and Sciences Building. The event is free and open to the public. (478) 453-8572

6 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets in the parking lot behind Oconee Outfitters for its weekly road ride. Beginner pace for first hour, moderate pace later.
