Georgia Military College hosted a delegation from a very different Georgia than the one Milledgevillians know.
Adjutant General of the State of Georgia, Maj. Gen. David B. Poythress, and MC Commandant Maj. Gen. Peter J. Boylan announced Thursday that GMC will enroll six international students from the country Georgia in Fall 2008.
Boylan described the enrollment as strengthening ties between the United States and Georgia.
“The Georgians are among our closest allies in that part of the world,” he said. “As part of this relationship, we’re trying to build up a relationship that includes education. Heretofore, that relationship has included only military types of training.”
