— Theft by taking
Someone stole a tan 1987 Chevrolet S-10 valued at $1,500 between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday from a Lee Drive residence, a sheriff's report states.
Milledgeville Police Department
— Criminal trespass
Leroy Newkirk, 52, of Macon was seen concealing a woman's bathing suit, valued at $60, inside his pants at the North Columbia Street location of Goody’s. Newkirk was apprehended at the Big Lots and returned to Goody’s where the complainant decided not to press charges. Newkirk was then turned over to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office in reference to outstanding warrants, a police report states.
— Larceny from auto
Someone stole $110 in cash from a purse inside of a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee while it was parked outside Oconee Regional Medical Center between 3 a.m. and noon Wednesday. The car was unsecured at the time of the incident, a police report states.
— Theft by taking
Someone compromised the padlocks on vending machines at the Shine Time carwash located on North Jefferson Street between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The owner of the carwash was unable to determine how much merchandise and/or money was taken, a police report states.
— Marijuana possession
Angel Roberson, 26, of Sparta was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, open container, disregard of a stop sign and a child safety seat violation, when a police officer executed a traffic stop after Roberson rolled through two stop signs on Oconee Street. When approaching the vehicle, the officer stated that he could smell a strong odor of marijuana from the driver's side window. Upon searching the car, the officer found a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance and a red Solo cup containing a mixed alcoholic beverage, a police report states.
— Driving under the influence
Russell Kilby, 22, of Pine Cone Road was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to yield while entering the roadway, expired tag and reckless driving when a Milledgeville Police officer had to quickly apply brakes to avoid an accident with Kilby, when he pulled his white pick-up truck out of a Wilkinson Street parking lot at 2 a.m. Thursday.
— Burglary
Someone kicked in the door of an Irish Lane residence at 3:40 a.m. Thursday. Responding officers stated that nothing was missing from the residence and no items from the residence were disturbed, a police report states.
