Thursday, July 3
7 a.m.: The Old Capital Kiwanis Club meets in Room 2-52 of Herty Hall on the GCSU campus.
10:30 to 11:15 a.m.: Ken Scott, a magician, will perform a program of magical stories at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library. The event is free and open to the public.
Noon: The Rotary meets at the Country Club.
Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.
2 to 5 p.m.: Free HIV testing at 900 Barrows Ferry Road. (478) 445-5518
4:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Chapter of the Fort Valley State Alumni Association meets at the public service building at the Milledgeville Police Department.
5:30 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets at Bartram Forest on Carl Vinson Road for its weekly mountain bike ride for all levels. Ride at your own pace.
7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Lions Club meets at the Golden Corral on North Columbia Street.
7 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center at Madison Ave. in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.
7:30 p.m.: Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. (478) 452-1611

Friday, July 4
The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) will be closed for Independence Day. Customer Service Centers (CSCs) statewide will be open to serve customers on Saturday, July 5th, and will be closed on Monday, July 7th, as is standard practice statewide.
3:30 p.m.: Organist Mark Argo will perform a concert of patriotic music at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 220 S. Wayne St.

Sunday, July 6
2 p.m.: ABATE of Georgia District 7 for all motorcyclists meets at AP’s Hidden Hideaway on Broadway in Macon. (478) 451-9870

Monday, July 7
10 a.m.: Oconee Valley Family YMCA meets at People’s Bank at Harmony Road and Hwy. 44.
10:30 to 11 a.m.: Children’s Story Time will be held at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library.
Noon to 4 p.m.: Harriet’s Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open in Room 413 of Oconee Regional Medical Center.
1 to 1:30 p.m.: Children’s Story Time will be held at the Lake Sinclair Library.
3 p.m.: “The Mourning After” a bereavement group sponsored by Hospice Care Options is held at the First Baptist Church on S. Liberty Street in Milledgeville. The event is free and open to the public. (478) 453-8572
3:30 to 4 p.m.: Children’s Story Time will be held at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library.
5:30 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets in the parking lot behind Oconee Outfitters for its weekly road ride. Beginner pace for first hour, moderate pace later.
6 p.m.: The Mohawk Faith-Based Committee will meet in Mohawk Conference Room on Roberson Mill Road.
7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. (478) 452-8538
7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center. Round dancing begins at 6:30 p.m.
7:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference meets at American Legion Post 523.

Tuesday, July 8
9 to 11:30 a.m.: MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meet at Hardwick Christian Church, 113 Thomas St., in Hardwick. MOPS is designed to encourage mothers of children ages 0-6 years old with relationships, resources and leadership. (478) 251-1532 or (478) 452-1125 or www.MOPS.org
10:30 to 11 a.m.: Children’s Story Time will be held at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library.
12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club
sponsor.
