— Simple assault, theft by taking
Someone tried to steal something from the Dollar General location on North Columbia Street May 19. When a store employee followed the suspect out into the parking lot, the suspect attempted to hit the employee with their car, a police report states.
— Gas drive off
A white male drove away from the Flash Foods location on Carl Vinson Highway without paying for $20.13 in gas May 20, a police report states.
— Gas drive off
A white female drove away from the Jet Foods location on South Wayne Street without paying for $85.09 worth of gas May 20. The female was driving a white Ford Expedition, a police report states.
— Theft by taking
Camilla Worthen, 20, of Sparta was arrested for stealing $9.66 worth of costume jewelry from the Wal-Mart location on North Columbia Street May 24, a police report states.
— Criminal trespass
Someone threw part of a brick through a Oconee Street residence’s window sometime between May 21 and 23. Four lawn chairs were also reported missing from the porch of the residence, a police report states.
— Battery
Brandon Spears, 20, of 126 Roberts Road and Kasheena Durden, 17, of 221 Nelson Road were arrested and charged with battery stemming from an altercation that took place at a West McIntosh Street residence. Two children were present at the time of the incident, resulting in Spears and Durden each being charged with two counts of cruelty to children, a police report states.
— Burglary
Someone stole an Xbox 360 video game console and five games with a total value of $600 from a North Wilkinson Street apartment at about 10 p.m. May 24, a police report states.
— Criminal damage to property
Someone threw an unknown object at moving car traveling on the 1200 block of North Columbia Street May 24 at 2:15 a.m. The object cracked the front windshield of the car causing about $500 of damage, a police report states.
— Burglary
A resident of a North Wilkinson Street apartment awoke to find a black male in his apartment holding his wallet. When the suspect noticed that the resident was awake, the suspect dropped the wallet and fled the apartment. The suspect left a gray blue jacket in the apartment, a police report states.
— Disorderly conduct
Frank Ruskin, 50, of 111 Caraker Ave. was arrested for disorderly conduct for an incident in which he was shouting obscenities at a Caraker Avenue residence on May 24, a police report states.
— Entering auto
Someone stole the face of a Kenwood car stereo valued at $300 and a CB radio valued at $190 from a white Ford Mustang while it was parked at the Kroger located on North Columbia Street, a police report states.

— Probation violation
Joshua Lee Anderson, 24, of First Street, was arrested Saturday night and charged with one count each probation violation, giving a false name to law enforcement, and littering on a highway. A sheriff’s deputy pulled over Anderson for littering. Anderson gave a false name, and after discovering his identity the deputy also learned Anderson had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation, a sheriff’s states.

Carlos Lutroy Adams, 40, of Stallings Road, Haddock, was arrested Sunday night on Horace Veal Road and charged with one count each driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain a lane, a sheriff’s report states.

Matthew Elliot Carlsen, 32, of Browns Crossing Road, was arrested Sunday around midnight and charged with one count each driving under the influence and speeding, a sheriff’s report states.

Jerry Don McDowell, 21, of Tanglewood Road, was arrested early Saturday morning on North Jefferson Street and charged with one count each driving under the influence and failure to maintain a lane, a sheriff’s report states.

Shirley Charlene Sanders, 62, of Robins Drive, Gordon, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with one count of theft for a bicycle worth $60, a sheriff’s report states.

Someone stole a front porch worth $800, bags filled with items for a yardsale worth $50, and flower pots worth $20 from a Harrisburg Road mobile home between Friday and Saturday, a sheriff’s report states.

Someone stole $2,000 worth of clothes and nine pitbull dogs worth $3,500 from a Robinson-Johnson Road home on May 8, a sheriff’s report states.

Someone stole a 1970 GMC black colored pickup truck worth $1,000 from a Sparta Highway home early Friday morning, a sheriff’s report states.

Christiana Ngozi Oteri, 38, of a Ga. Highway 49 West home was cited Friday afternoon for gas drive off after it was reported Oteri drove away without paying for $20 in gas from a Flash Foods convenience store located on Ga. Highway 49 earlier that day, a sheriff’s report states.
