— Gas drive off
Someone drove away without paying for $15 in gas from a Friendly Gus convenience store located on Ga. Highway 49 Thursday night, a sheriff’s report states.
— Theft
Someone stole a 24-feet-long pontoon boat worth $7,000 from a covered boat house at a home on Baum Bay Road between Wednesday and Thursday, a sheriff’s report states.
— Burglary
Someone stole blood pressure medicine worth $20, blood sugar medicine worth $20, gout medicine worth $40, and a zipper case from an Autumn Lane home on Wednesday afternoon, a sheriff’s report states.
— False report of a crime
Darrell Wright, 45, of Wright Lane was arrested and charged with one count of falsely reporting a crime Thursday morning. Wright reported his car stolen, but it was found to have been wrecked in Jones County. When sheriff’s deputies confronted Wright about his report, he noticed he seemed to have been drinking, and Wright admitted that he’d been drinking and had wrecked his car. He told deputies he reported it stolen to avoid facing any charges, a sheriff’s report states.

— Theft by taking
Sherman Smith, 24, of 2445 Brantley Way Apt. A, was cited for theft by taking Thursday for running an orange drop cord from the outside power outlet of a Brantley Way apartment into the rear window of his apartment between Wednesday and Thursday, a police report states.
— Larceny — Theft by taking
Someone took a dark-colored wheel barrel from a West Bryant Street residence between April 15 and April 16, a police report states.
— Criminal trespass
Little Bolston, Johnny Mark, James Gilmore and Nathaniel Bolston were issued criminal trespass citations for taking scrap metal from a East Montgomery Street business, a police report states.
— Theft by taking
Donna Dahlstrom of 388 Sparta Highway was arrested for theft by taking for attempting to take items from the Wal-Mart located on North Columbia Street Thursday, a police report states.
— Fraud-swindle
A black male swindled a Milledgeville resident out of $960 when the man told the complainant he would give them $3,000 to deposit a $10,000 check into her account and give him some “honest money.” The complainant went to a bank and took out the $960 and returned to the South Wayne Street location where the complainant met the unidentified black male. The complainant gave the man the $960 and he in return placed what the complainant thought was a large sum of money wrapped in a white bandana into the complainant’s bag and said not to open it until they got into the car. When the complainant opened the bandana, it was filled with tissue paper. The unidentified black male and black female left the location in a blue sedan, a police report states.
— Theft by shoplifting
Someone stole one or more shirts from the Max Way located on South Wayne Street Thursday, a police report states.
— Simple assault / simple battery
Ren Pearson, 25, of 166 W. Walton St. was issued a citation for simple assault for making a threatening gesture to a Papa John’s employee at the Papa John’s location on North Columbia St. Thursday, a police report states.
