— Auto theft
A local man reported that he parked his father’s brown 1980 Buick Regal in front of his Highland Avenue residence at 7 p.m. Thursday. When he returned to the residence at 7:30 a.m. Friday, the car was gone. According to the report, the car was unlocked, and the keys were left under the
floormat.
— Theft by taking
A Lincoln Street man reported he gave three women a ride Friday evening to Riverbend Apartments from Grimes Avenue. After the women got out of the car, the driver realized his wallet was missing from the backseat, the report states.
— Gas drive-off
A Murphy USA attendant reported someone pumped $39.88 of gas around 7 p.m. Friday and left without paying, a report states.
— Assault
A 14-year-old boy reported he was fighting with four other juveniles in the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday around 9 p.m. Friday when one of the teens pulled a knife. No one was injured, and juvenile complaints were filed, according to a police report.
— Car chase
A Milledgeville police officer reported he was at Flash Foods on North Jefferson Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday when he heard an engine revving and tires squealing. The officer reported he saw a green Chevrolet Caprice stop at a stop sign before revving the engine and squealing tires again. The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver reportedly refused to stop. The officer called for backup, which resulted in a chase involving the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol. The driver, later identified as Jimmy Lee Lewis Jr., of Meriweather Road, reportedly acted as if he was going to pull over, but took off again. Lewis was later stopped on Log Cabin Road after running over stop sticks placed by a state trooper. Lewis allegedly told police he “couldn’t stop” when asked why he ran. Lewis was arrested and charged with laying drag, weaving and failure to yield to emergency vehicles, a report states.
— Entering an auto
A local man reported he parked his black GMC Sierra on North Clark Street between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the doors were left unlocked and a 12-gauge shotgun and two OldTimer pocket knives were missing.
— Theft by taking
A Milledgeville woman reported someone took a blue MidSouth Bank deposit bag from her vehicle on North Columbia Street around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, a report states.
— Gas drive-off
An attendant at the Jet Food Store on Roberson Mill Road reported someone pumped $38.01 of gas into an unknown car Saturday evening and left without paying, a report states.
— Disorderly conduct
Bradley James Peerson, 21, of Loganville was arrested for disorderly conduct late Saturday night after admitting to hitting a woman’s car with his fist and taking her keys and cell phone and refusing to give them back, a report states.
— Burglary
A Milledgeville police officer reported he responded to an alarm call on North Columbia Street at Southern Home Rentals around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. On arrival, he noticed the left door had been shattered from the outside. The manager said two large plasma screen televisions, valued at $1,061 each, were missing as well as an XBox 360 valued at $399, a report states.
— Criminal damage to property
An East Green Street resident reported someone threw a rock through the storm door of his residence during the weekend, a report states.
— Burglary
A Sherry Circle resident reported someone stole a 23-inch Sylvania television, an iron and ironing board, a DirectTV box, a microwave and two TV stands from her unlocked home over the weekend, a report states.
— Fraud
A North Cambridge Drive couple reported someone used their banking information to charge $650 to an Internet business, a report states.
— Entering an auto
A Ross Avenue resident reported someone stole a Pioneer stereo from his vehicle Sunday afternoon, a report states.
— Theft by taking
A Magnolia Drive man said four juveniles stole his granddaughter’s bicycle from his front porch Sunday afternoon, a report states.

— Theft by taking
Jane Marie Kendrick, 24, of Eatonton, was arrested after she reportedly was seen by surveillance video Thursday between 2 and 10 p.m. stealing a carton of Newport cigarettes and completing $70 worth of “no sale” transactions at the register of the Jet Food Store on Ga. Highway 22 West. After being interviewed by store manager and a sheriff’s deputy, Kendrick admitted she stole the cigarettes and $30, but said she planned to pay for the cigarettes when she returned for her shift. Kendrick was charged with theft by taking, a report states.
— Sunday sale of alcohol
Bruster’s Night Club located on South Edwards Street was cited for selling alcohol on Sunday after deputies reportedly saw the business operating around 2 a.m. Sunday. Deputies reportedly went inside and saw 20-25 people drinking alcoholic beverages and playing pool. A club employee told police he was opened for a private party and was only giving drinks away, not selling them. The business was closed for the rest of the night, according to a
report.
— DUI
Deputies worked a two-vehicle wreck around 9:30 p.m. Friday on North Columbia Street. One of the drivers ran away on foot before deputies arrived. Deputies located the driver from items found inside the car and arrested 31-year-old Saucedo Ezequiel Hernandez at his North Columbia Street residence. Hernandez is charged with DUI, failure to yield when turning left, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident with damage and driving while unlicensed, the report states.
— Reckless driving
Brandon Keith Anderson, 21, of Ernest Byner Street was arrested Sunday afternoon after deputies reportedly clocked him driving 96 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone on Stembridge Road. Anderson was charged with speeding in excess of maximum posted speed limit and reckless driving, a report states.

An Ivey Drive resident reported someone stole a TV and DVD player from her unlocked home during the weekend, a report states.

A Hodges Lake Road woman reported someone stole a four wheeler and grass trimmer from her carport while she was at her mother’s house between 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, a report states.

An Ivey Drive man reported someone stole his red 1999 Honda 300 EX four wheeler from his front yard between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a report states.
— Leaving the scene of an accident
A Milledgeville man said he was waiting to pull out onto Roberson Mill Road on Friday afternoon when a Nissan Sentra struck his car while backing up. The woman driving the car told the victim she had to pick up her daughter. According to the report, the car returned later with a different driver, who told police her mother, 54-year-old Brenda Joyce Butts of Vinson Highway originally was driving the vehicle but didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Butts was located at her home and arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and no valid license, a report states.
