— Auto theft A local man reported that he parked his father’s brown 1980 Buick Regal in front of his Highland Avenue residence at 7 p.m. Thursday. When he returned to the residence at 7:30 a.m. Friday, the car was gone. According to the report, the car was unlocked, and the keys were left under the floormat. — Theft by taking A Lincoln Street man reported he gave three women a ride Friday evening to Riverbend Apartments from Grimes Avenue. After the women got out of the car, the driver realized his wallet was missing from the backseat, the report states. — Gas drive-off A Murphy USA attendant reported someone pumped $39.88 of gas around 7 p.m. Friday and left without paying, a report states. — Assault A 14-year-old boy reported he was fighting with four other juveniles in the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday around 9 p.m. Friday when one of the teens pulled a knife. No one was injured, and juvenile complaints were filed, according to a police report.
