Community Relay for Life Events

Thursday, March 27
8 a.m.: First United Methodist Church holds garage sale to benefit Relay for Life at the pavillion,103 Bill Johnson Road. Drop off any donated items on Wednesday, March 26th from noon until 8 p.m.

Friday, March 28
12:30 to 1 p.m.: Each Friday until Relay, volunteers at The Early Learning Center will bring sweet treats to sell. Teachers and staff can purchase a treat in the afternoon. For more information, contact Julie Parmley at julie.parmley@baldwin.k12.ga.us .

Saturday, March 29
Magnolia State Bank holds a yard sale in front of Old Capital Wrecker Service on South Wayne Street, right beside Piggly Wiggly.

Through March 31
Students at Creekside Elementary School are able to purchase a piece of gold to win various prizes during the month of March. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

Friday, April 4
11:30 a.m.: A drawing will be held in the second floor Council Chambers of City Hall to benefit Baldwin County's Relay for Life. Prizes include 1/4 carat diamond earrings donated by Milledgeville Jewelry, a Stan Strickland print entitled "Interlude" donated by Stan Strickland, a Black & Decker Trimmer donated by Lowe's, a 4-wheeler donated by Upscale Barber Shop and a JVC car CD player donated by the City of Milledgeville Relay for Life team. Saturday, April 5
Pathfinders Christian Church Relay for Life team holds a yard sale to benefit Relay for Life. Household items, clothing, yard equipment, cakes and many miscellaneous items will be for sale. The sale will be held at the corner of Ernest Byner and Hwy. 49 in Milledgeville.
7 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Windstream holds its Annual Relay For Life Yard Sale at 750 North Jefferson St. Donations can be dropped off at the N. Jefferson St. office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or if you have items needing to be picked up, call Pam Bell at (478) 454-3314.
8:30 a.m.: Baldwin High School sponsors a 2-man golf scramble at Little Fishing Creek Golf Course on Hwy. 22. All proceeds benefit Baldwin County Relay for Life. Winners will receive cash prizes and there will be hole-in-one rewards on par 3 holes. For more information, contact Pam Tindal (478) 453-6429 ext. 428 or Pam Howard at (478) 453-6429
11 a.m. 1:30 p.m.: Windstream is selling tickets for Gooch's famous BBQ chicken plates consisting of 1/2 chicken, slaw, baked beans, roll and dessert. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased by calling (478) 454-3314.

Friday, April 11
Mohawk of Milledgeville is raffling off a Concord 5' by 7' Mohawk Rug. Tickets are $2 and winners do not have to present to win. For more information, contact Beth Massey at (478) 452-3538 ext. 45 or Michael Williams at (478) 452-3538 ext. 11 - michael_williams@mohawkind.com
Georgia Department of Corrections is raffling off an electric scooter. Tickets are $1 each and proceeds benefit Relay for Life. Hot buttered popcorn and refreshing drinks will also be sold at their Relay location.

Through Saturday, April 12
The Civic Woman's Club sells raffle tickets on a queen/king sized handmade “Garden Trellis” patterned quilt. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. The drawing will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Relay for Life event.
An adirondack chair with a painted Safari theme will be raffled off at Relay for Life on April 12. The chair will be on display at day of Relay. The raffle is sponsored by the GCSU Friends & Family team. Tickets are on sale now and are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.
