Wayne Street Tattoo Company, 112 South Wayne Street, presents the exhibit "Cans" featuring works from local artists including pieces from Chris Hosmer of Warner Robins and Clay Davis of Macon.The show is to encompass local painters and other artists who are occasionally overlooked by the established art culture of mainstream museums and galleries. Wayne Street Tattoo is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 2 to 10 p.m. and by appointment.

Saturday, Feb. 2

The Milledgeville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Baldwin High School’s Health Occupations Students of America host Love Your Heart from 9 a.m. to noon in the auditorium of BHS. The morning will be filled with information, speakers, and health screenings. The event will provide women with crucial information and tools needed to live healthier, stronger, longer lives.

Georgia’s Old Capital Museum hosts “Norvell becomes Ollie; the making of a star in Milledgeville.” This exhibit examines Norvell Hardy’s formative years in Milledgeville from 1903 to 1913 from his arrival as a shy 11 year old to his departure as a striving young actor. Taking his father’s name, Oliver goes on to become "Ollie" as part of the famous (Stan) Laurel & Hardy comedy team. The exhibit is free and open to the public and is located at Georgia’s Old Capital Museum, Old Capital Square at Greene and Jefferson Streets in the historic district of Milledgeville.
