MILLEDGEVILLE — A call to action! I have listened, read and read some more about our city and the people we have entrusted to be our leaders. Shame on all of you — your worries are more about how you look than how you represent all of us who have put our faith in you. How can you behave the way you have and still have the guts to show up in public?
I have attended City Council meetings and have never been anything but discouraged and skeptical about your actions. It seems to me that you have no intention of making the beautiful city Milledgeville all it can be. You have all the assets at your fingertips and cannot figure out how to appreciate them, turn them into gold mines for all of us. You turn thumbs down on all possibilities of progress. You hem and haw about supporting the museum, the Greenway, anything that is different, new and productive and why? — because it’s not the way it is or was, or more accurately, “we do things slow down here and we like it that way.” You have the vision of a blank wall.
You stick your nose up at every suggestion be it unification, progress, cleansing, building, tearing down, bettering in all areas. In my opinion you need to GO. Let people who appreciate all we are carry the torch.
Don’t even think about blaming your misdeeds on Walter Reynolds — he’s the only brave, true representative we have. Had he not recorded your ethical violations, the public would not have known … since it was your evident intent that the issue of retaliation not be disclosed to the public … right down to shredding the evidence.
