Baldwin High deserves better sports coverage

MILLEDGEVILLE — Friday night I attended my first football game in years, Baldwin’s game out of town, which Milledgeville should be proud of. There were more people there for BHS than the other team.

My granddaughter is in the marching band. To my amazement, Saturday when I opened my newspaper to the sports page I saw a whole page on GMC and JMA and the next page a big article on GMC and down in the lower right hand corner a small article about BHS. Nothing against the other schools, I had three children attend GMC.

I think Baldwin deserves better. The band practiced very hard all summer, and I’m sure the players did also. So let’s stand behind BHS. Also, I applaud Louie Herron and all the other people and parents who helped.
