Holiday gift drive for kids

— I would like to thank everyone for your contributions to the Milledgeville Police Department on behalf of our community service program, the Holiday Gift Drive for Kids (HGDK) formerly known as Shop with a Cop. Without your support this community service program would not have been a success in the past years.
The merchants and citizens of the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County fund our community service programs. Once again we are asking for your donations and contributions for this program for the 2007 Holiday Season. The Holiday Gift Drive for Kids is a program designed to help kids who would not normally have the advantage of shopping for the Holiday season.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 so that we can take 100 less fortunate children between the ages of 0 to 16 to shop with $100 each. If you would like to make a contribution to our program, all checks should be made payable to the Milledgeville Police Department and noted HGDK contribution. If at all possible, we would like to have all contributions received by Dec. 17.
All donations and contributions raised from the merchants, citizens of Milledgeville and Baldwin County will go directly back into our community programs.
