Reader explains Baha’i Faith for world peace

The Union-Recorder

Thank you GCSU for selecting the Baha’i Faith for your Second Annual Religious Text Reading on the steps of the old Court House last week.

What is the Baha’i Faith? Compare the nations of the world to the members of a family. A family is a nation in miniature. Simply enlarge the circle of the household, and you have a nation. Enlarge the circle of nations and you have the world.

Since God has created all humanity, why are we fighting in the realm of differences of religion and race? The Baha’i Faith aims to do away with all prejudices. We believe in education for all people everywhere and the equal distribution of wealth. Isn’t this the way in which we can have peace in our world?

All the virtues and spiritual qualities must be taught to our children from an early age. The education and training of children is among the most meritorious acts of humankind.

The Baha’i Faith is an independent world religion with headquarters on Mount Carmel in Israel. We can be contacted in Milledgeville at the Varner residence at (478) 453-3280 or in Eatonton at the Jasnau residence at (706) 485-8137. If you are really interested in world peace, please call these numbers.

The major religions of the world began with Abraham and continued through Moses, Christ and Baha’u’llah whose name is Arabic and means The Glory of God.

Please investigate this religion as the Baha’is believe that religion is progressive and each religion adds more information than the former. We also believe that through this faith, we will bring about world peace.

For information, you can also call 1-800-22-UNITE. To receive a catalog on the writings of the Faith, call 1-800-999-9010 or visit www.BahaiBookstore.com.
