Couples can choose among 16 horses to ride, though two horses are trained to be carriage-pullers.
“The neat thing is the horses get to be part of everything we do out here at the ranch,” Forbus said. “If a couple just got engaged and they’re considering an outdoor wedding, they can tour the venue and book soon as possible because we want to get them on the calendar. We already have people coming out to view the property. Saturday will be our third couple.”
Photographers interested in using space at Pico Mundo as a backdrop for their clients can book appointments by the hour or by the day.
“People come here and say, ‘oh my gosh,’” Forbus said. “The trees are beautiful and they change with the seasons so it looks totally different throughout the year. Spring is the most beautiful time because flowers are blossoming.”
