MILLEDGEVILLE — Aspring filmmaker and local teen Caleb Merritt will debut his film today Georgia College's Arts & Sciences auditorium. His full length feature film “Unknown” will debut at 6 p.m. in front of family, friends and those in the public interested.
He began making short films, around five minutes per film, but the more he filmed the longer each piece became. With his latest movie “Unknown,” the screen time is nearly one and a half hours long.
“It took five to six months total to make,” he said. “I started writing the script for about a month, and then filming took about 4 months. After filming, I sat down and edited the film for another month to get it all together.”
Merritt's motivation and willingness to sit down and make movies is an encouraging sign to his mother, who wants to help him succeed in any way possible.
Be sure to attend Merritt's premiere of his thriller “Unknown” at the Arts & Sciences auditorium on the Georgia College campus this Saturday at 6 p.m. and like his Facebook page, Kave-Man Productions for photos and more information.
