“The camp is not like any other camp because it exposes local youth to the resources Baldwin County has to offer and teaches them that law enforcement officials are here to help,” Glenn said.
The camp is not all work. There’s a lot of fun to be had as well. The last day of camp will consist of water games, food, entertainment, and much more, providing the kids a great reward for all their hard work during the week.
Community support for the Junior Deputy Camp is imperative to the success of the summer endeavors.
“I’m glad that the community is supporting us and I look forward to the continued support from the residents of Baldwin County as we work to educate our youth about law enforcement and safety,” Glenn said.
The Camp hours are 8 a.m. to noon. Ages for the camp are 5 to 11, or kindergarten through fifth grade. Call Deputy Tamica Glenn at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at 478-445-4891 for more information.
