Middle Georgia Art Association is accepting submissions for their Flowers, Twigs and Buds exhibit. The exhibit will be judged and is open to all Middle Georgia artists in all media. You must be 18 or older and out of high school to enter. Allied Arts will host a Chair Bottoming Workshop on Jan. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Registration is $62 and includes all materials. If you need a chair provided for the workshop or need more information, contact Allied Arts at (478) 452-3950. Instructors will be Randy Cannon and Brian Renko.

Gordon Better Hometown is overstocked on Christmas ornaments, past and present. If interested in purchasing one or want more information, contact (478) 233-3003.

Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna.

Thursday, Jan. 10

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists building at Oconee Regional Medical Center. 11:45 a.m.: The Civitan Club of Baldwin County meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays at the Golden Corral. Civitan's main thrust worldwide is helping the physically and/or mentally challenged.
