MILLEDGEVILLE — The Baldwin County Special Olympics will be held April 9 at the BHS field at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with the events, including: huggers, timers, escorts, cheerers or spectators. The Oconee Master Gardeners Association and the Putnam County Cooperative Extension will host the final portion of a four part series on Gardening with Limitations April 9. This session will be Plantings and Container Gardening from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Hut, 400A W. Marion St., Eatonton. The presentation is free, but pre-registration is required, 706-485-4151.

The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation agency will host a job fair for area veterans in Macon in April. The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency has initiated a major jobs program designed to serve veterans with disabilities. The Jobs and Resources Fair will be held April 10 at Middle Georgia State College. Preconference activities begin at 9 a.m. and will include resume prep and interview skills workshops. Relay for Life will be held April 11 starting at 6 p.m. at the Baldwin High School track.

The Lockerly Arboretum Annual Plant Sale will be April 11 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the arboretum, 1534 Irwinton Road. For more information call 478-452-2112.

A ladies luncheon and fashion show will be held April 12 at noon in the Flannery O’Connor Hall of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The event is $10 and all proceeds benefit Relay for Life. AARP Foundation TaxAide volunteers will be in the area from Feb. 2 through April 15. To apply visit www.aarp.org/taxaide.
