MILLEDGEVILLE — The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation agency will host a job fair for area veterans next month in Macon. The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency has initiated a major jobs program designed to serve veterans with disabilities. The Jobs and Resources Fair will be held April 10 at Middle Georgia State College. Preconference activities begin at 9 a.m. and will include resume prep and interview skills workshops. The job fair begins at 10 .m. and will continue through 2 p.m. There is no charge or fee required. For more information call 404-232-1821 or email carl.mcrae@gva.ga.gov.

A yard sale to benefit the First United Methodist Church Relay for Life team will be held March 29 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church’s lake pavilion on Bill Johnson Road. All proceeds benefit the team.

The Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra will present its final concert of the season, ‘Drum Roll, Please!’, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Russell Auditorium.

The Central State Hospital Relay for Life team will hold a jewelry and accessories sale at the CSH Auditorium March 31 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and April 1 from 7 a.m.-5p.m.

The UGA Extension office is offering assistance to local residents seeking to enroll in health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The deadline to apply for coverage is March 31. The Baldwin County Special Olympics will be held April 9 at the BHS field at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with the events, including: huggers, timers, escorts, cheerers or spectators. If you would like to volunteer contact Shannon New-Diaz at 478-445-2509 or sanew@dhr.state.ga.us.

Relay for Life will be held April 11 starting at 6 p.m. at the Baldwin High School track.

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center.
