MILLEDGEVILLE — The Girl Scouts will hold Parent Meetings at 6 p.m. Aug. 13 at Blandy Hills and Aug. 22 at Midway. A parent or legal guardian must accompany each girl. The Fifth Annual Old Capitol City Classic 5K Road Race and 1-Mile Fun Run is accepting pre-registration until Aug. 21. The Georgia Department of Labor Milledgeville Career Center will host the Mobile Vet Center on Aug. 23 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 156 Roberson Mill Road. The mobile center will provide counseling, outreach and referral services to veterans and their families to help them readjust to civilian life.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering call 478-453-4400.

12:30 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Plaza Arts Center, 305 N. Madison Ave. in Eatonton. For more information contact Betty Roper at 706-467-3079.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

3-5 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge.
