MILLEDGEVILLE — If you are interested in becoming a Foster or Adoptive parent IMPACT pre-service training classes will be held on six Saturdays beginning Aug. 3-Sept. 14 (will skip Labor Day weekend). Call 478-445-7020 for more information.

A motorcycle ride for The Donald E. Roach Sr. ALS Fund will take place on Aug. 10 at 8:30 a.m., beginning at the Milledgeville Mall. The event is to help raise money to assist Roach with getting a wheelchair accessible van. There is also a savings fund at MidSouth Credit Union under the name: Donald E. Roach Sr. ALS Fund. Friday, Aug. 2

10 a.m.-noon: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 4-8 p.m.: The Fall Line Farmers Market will feature local farmers, local vendors and live music on the front lawn of First Presbyterian Church at 210 S. Wayne St. "Big Mike and the Booty Papas" will perform from 5-8. Browse the selection of fresh food and unique arts and crafts. Grab some Georgia Bob's barbecue "to go" along with home-made peach ice cream and smoothies from Georgia Peach Co. Stroll downtown to check out the local merchants and enjoy the fun "Back-to-School" First Friday events offered by Milledgeville Mainstreet.

6 p.m.-8 p.m.: The Twin Lakes Library System will host a book sale fundraiser for the 2013 Georgia Literary Festival. Drop by Digital Bridges to browse paperbacks and hardcover books for $1 or $2.
